TCPIP 232 ATM/POS Adapter standalone or with VSI-Pro / VSI-Pro
Max
TCPIP232 Interface is
designed to capture transactions on a LAN system then convert
captured transactions to serial port to interface with VSI-Pro / VSI-Pro
Max or AVE line or DVRs or 3rd party compatible ones which supports
text search and text insertion. Multiple TCPIP232 ATM/POS adapters can work
on the AVE RS-485 Network like RegComs simplifying installation and
connections.

P2RS -Pro
The P2RS-Pro contains all the features of the
P2RS but also includes the AVE RS-485 Networking ability called the
RegCom or Vnetworker Protocol. This allows up to 16 units to
connected in daisy chain and deliver all the data to a compatible
DVR with a Hydra or VSI-Pro Max as the Master unit. The P2RS-Pro
also contains another special UART to handle special serial
protocols for non standard POS / Cash Register communications like
the Gilbarco Passport. Programming is done via any laptop running
any communications program and supports firmware updating as well.

P2RS
The P-2-RS
coverts high speed parallel data to serial data and sends the data
out through the RS-232 port to the VSI-Pro which overlays this data
onto video and exports to the DVR. Available with DB25 or Centronics
Cables in Tap or Emulate modes.

RS-232 to RS-485 Adapter
This devices converts RS-232 to either RS-422
four wire connection or RS-485 two wire connection. Flow control for
RS-485 via RTS and fully jumper selectable for DTR or DSR
configurations and pin swapping. This device makes a standard
COM
Port
compatible
with the Regcom, Networker, Vnetworker, or DSVMD software
application.

Opto232
The Opto232 is a miniature Optically Isolated RS-232 converter used to isolate POS / Cash Register grounds from the video system when using the VSI-Pro or Text Insertion DVRs. When used with the VSI-Pro the Opto232 is powered by the VSI-Pro so no external power supply is required. If data is to be sent back to the POS/Cash Register or any other device, the Opto232 is jumper selectable to be powered by the register or use a user supplied external power supply.

USB to RS-232/RS-485 Adapter
This device converts USB 1.0 -
2.0 to RS-232 or RS-422 (Single Direction) or RS-485 bi-directional
half duplex. Include driver software uses the RTS signal for RS-232
flow control. This device makes a USB port compatible with the
Regcom, Networker, Vnetworker, or DSVMD software
application.

IF and
TPIF ECR Cards
Some lower cost ECR
cash registers have built in printers and very few external ports
for extracting the transaction data. In these cases the AVE line of
ECR PCBs are mounting internally to the ECR to convert the printer
data to RS-232. This RS-232 data can be connected to the VSI-Pro or
directly to the DVR.

RG2RS
The RG2RS Radar
Gun Interface converts older model Radar Guns without RS-232 data
ports to RS-232 via connection to remote displays or internal
wiring.

RegCom-IBM
The RegCom-IBM is standalone unit for interfacing to IBM SDL RS-485 ports of any IBM POS Terminal and outputs the data in formatted RS-232. This data can be connected to a VSI-Pro-Max or VSI-Pro or direct to a Text Search compatible DVR. This device can handle large buffer and data packets common for some 3rd party vendor software.

UART Daughter board
The AVE UART daughter board can be added to either the VSI-Pro Max or VSI-Pro. This UART is fully compatible with the standard 16550 UART and supports all modes including 7 bit no parity which is common for Gilbarco Passport POS. Simply plug in the daughter board internally to the VSI-Pro Max R17 or higher, VSI-Pro V13.00 R27, V13.10 R1 or higher and the software will recognize and use this UART for the register port. An added benefit to the VSI-Pro Max is that by adding the UART board you can operate the Max as a Master and still have full emulate functions on the register port. For the VSI-Pro this adds full emulate functions on the register port and still allows the formatted ASCII to be sent to a DVR.
